The user feedback also highlights reliability directly, along with a trouble-free ownership experience and confidence in the vehicle over the long term. What is the 2018 Toyota RAV4's resale value?

The current average of $21,121 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,401 CAD.

That softer pricing can be good news if you're buying now, but it also means a future seller may face a more competitive market if prices stay under pressure. The current range still suggests the RAV4 holds meaningful value, especially because shoppers continue to respond to its practicality and reputation. If demand remains steady, well-kept examples should remain easier to move than less established rivals.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.58/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Toyota RAV4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 24.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.74% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.58/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $26,695 CAD, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $21,121 CAD average.
• It adds bolder styling and a more upscale interior.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2018 if you want the better value and a proven, practical SUV with strong owner approval. Consider the 2019 if you want newer styling and are willing to pay more for a more distinctive feel. If price matters most, the 2018 is the smarter starting point.
