Is the 2018 Toyota Camry a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Toyota Camry earns a 4.6/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its attractive design, reliable performance, and great gas mileage, while also highlighting the comfortable ride and safety features. That fits well if you want a midsize sedan that feels more modern and expressive than the Camry’s traditional image, with comfort and dependability taking priority over driving excitement. With 26.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Toyota Camry reliable?

The owner feedback also points to reliable performance, with language that emphasises dependable, trouble-free ownership and a car you can count on over the long term. Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Toyota Camry?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 26.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 134 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.33% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,535 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Toyota Camry's resale value?

The current average of $20,747 CAD sits slightly below last year's $22,631 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the model has become a bit easier for buyers to access, which can put some pressure on future resale if you buy at the wrong price. On the other hand, the Camry’s strong reputation for reliability and comfort helps support demand in the used market. If you buy carefully and keep the car in good condition, you should still have a solid path to resale later on.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Toyota Camry or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 26.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.33% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is a strong choice if you want the newer, more expressive Camry design and a used price that has already softened. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may offer a lower entry point, but the 2018 remains the better pick when you want a good balance of value, comfort, and owner satisfaction.
