Is the 2018 Subaru BRZ a good car?

With 26.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Subaru BRZ reliable?

For a used buyer, that kind of owner feedback can reduce the risk of unpleasant surprises, though you should still prioritise a careful inspection and maintenance history before you buy.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Subaru BRZ?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 26.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 26 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.32% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,642 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Subaru BRZ's resale value?

The current average of $21,260 CAD sits slightly below last year's $22,220 CAD.

That softer pricing can be a mixed signal for future resale: it may help you buy at a more attractive entry point now, but it also means the market has already adjusted downward. If prices stay near this level, your future resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and service records than on broad market momentum. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Subaru BRZ or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 26.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.32% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used BRZ with a solid owner rating and some pricing softness on your side, the 2018 is a sensible place to start. If you’re especially price-sensitive, keep an eye on listings near the lower end of the range and be ready to move quickly when a well-priced example appears.
