How much does the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE cost?

Prices have softened 12.19% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 113 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of choice in the used market.

Is the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxury features, comfort, and reliable engineering, and many also like the cool features and performance. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a premium SUV that feels refined, practical, and family-friendly rather than especially sporty. With 34.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful market opportunity if you shop carefully.

Is the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also highlights reliable engineering, along with a generally trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers. That said, some owners mention electronic issues, so you should pay close attention to how the vehicle’s systems behave during a test drive and inspection. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a luxury SUV with complex electronics can become costly if neglected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you focus on well-priced examples.

• Deal availability: 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 113 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.19% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,120 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $27,120 CAD sits slightly below last year's $30,885 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand, but resale value will still depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.19% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a well-equipped, comfortable luxury SUV and you find a clean example at a competitive price, the 2018 is the primary path to consider. If you are especially price-sensitive, it is worth comparing nearby model years to see whether a similar vehicle offers a better entry price or a stronger deal.
