How much does the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE cost?

Prices have softened 10.88% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 114 listings available, which suggests a reasonable amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE earns a 4.69/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxury features, comfort, and reliable engineering, and many also like the powerful engine and impressive sound system. It fits well if you want a premium SUV with a quiet, spacious cabin and a practical, family-friendly character. With 31.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

Owners rate it 4.69/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also highlights reliable engineering, dependable day-to-day comfort, and a vehicle many people feel confident living with over the long term. That said, some owners mention electronic issues, so used buyers should pay close attention to service history and how the vehicle has aged in real-world use. For long-term ownership, the main risk is less about the core character of the SUV and more about whether prior maintenance has kept up with its more complex systems.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 114 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.88% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $27,494 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $27,494 CAD sits slightly below last year's $30,852 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you own one and keep it in strong condition, the current softness can work against short-term resale gains. At the same time, a well-kept example with the right equipment and service records should still appeal to shoppers looking for a premium, comfortable SUV.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.69/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.88% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.69/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a well-equipped, comfortable luxury SUV with strong owner approval and a softer price trend, the 2018 is the sensible choice to focus on. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a similar example offers a better asking price or more favourable deal positioning.
