What is the 2018 Mazda MAZDA3 Sport's resale value?

The current average of $15,155 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,130 CAD.

That softer pricing can be a mixed signal if you plan to sell later. On one hand, it may help you buy at a more attractive entry point today. On the other, it suggests the market has already adjusted downward, so future resale gains may be more limited unless demand strengthens.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Mazda MAZDA3 Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 38.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.53% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used Mazda MAZDA3 Sport with proven owner satisfaction and a softer price environment, the 2018 is a sensible place to focus your search. If you’re especially price-sensitive, keep comparing nearby model years and prioritise the best deal condition, because the current market gives you enough inventory to be selective.
