Should I buy a 2018 Kia Optima or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 23.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.42% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.64/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used midsize sedan with strong owner satisfaction and a softer price trend, the 2018 is the better value-focused choice. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2018’s stronger market signals.
