That price movement suggests the model has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can be helpful if you buy now and plan to sell later. Should I buy a 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 17.63% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.73/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 is a sensible choice if you want a well-liked used SUV with softer pricing and enough inventory to compare options. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby year with a lower asking price may be worth a look, but the 2018 stands out as the better-balanced pick when you want value and owner approval together.
