How much does the 2018 Ford Fusion cost?

Is the 2018 Ford Fusion a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2018 Ford Fusion, and it fits a midsize sedan that blends sharp styling, strong road manners, and a wide range of powertrain choices. You also get useful space, including a back seat with 973 millimetres of legroom and a 450-litre trunk, so it works well if you want a practical daily driver with a more distinctive look than many rivals. The lineup’s breadth, including available all-wheel drive and the Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid, gives you flexibility depending on how you plan to use it. 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2018 Ford Fusion reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2018 Fusion’s appeal comes from its balanced road manners, roomy cabin, and broad powertrain range, all of which can make it a reassuring used-car choice if the specific example has been maintained properly. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that condition and maintenance history matter more than the badge itself, especially on higher-mileage examples.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Ford Fusion?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 84 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 23.44% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,515 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Ford Fusion's resale value?

The current average of $12,559 CAD sits slightly below last year's $16,405 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the current pricing trend means you should expect a more value-focused market rather than one that rewards premium asking prices. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment and strong presentation should still stand out, but broad market softness can cap resale gains.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Ford Fusion or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 29.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 23.44% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 Ford Fusion makes sense if you want a stylish midsize sedan with good space, a broad choice of powertrains, and a market that currently favours careful shoppers. If you’re price-sensitive, nearby model years may also be worth comparing, but the 2018 is a solid place to start when you want value and variety in one package.
