Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base XL is a true work truck with plastic bumpers, cloth seats, and steel wheels, while the XLT adds power windows and locks, a USB port, Bluetooth connectivity, and chrome bumpers. Higher trims bring more comfort and luxury, with the Lariat adding leather-trimmed front seats, heated and ventilated front seats, and Sync 3, while the Limited adds a panoramic sunroof, heated and cooled front seats, heated rear seats, and massaging front seats.

The base 3.3-litre V6 makes 290 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque, while the 2.7-litre EcoBoost V6 is the most efficient gas-powered drivetrain configuration mentioned.
• Safety package: Standard safety features include a rear-view camera, tire-pressure monitoring system, traction control, and a full array of front- and side-impact airbags. The Limited adds forward-collision warning and avoidance with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control that can stop and go with traffic. A 360-degree camera is standard on the Limited and available on the Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Raptor.

Here's the short version:

What is the 2018 Ford F-150's resale value?

The current average of $25,170 CAD sits slightly below last year's $27,881 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests future sellers may face a more competitive market than owners did a year ago. If you buy at the right price now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation later, especially if you choose a well-equipped trim with broad appeal.

The F-150’s strong reputation for capability and owner satisfaction should help support demand over time. Trucks with the right mix of condition, equipment, and mileage tend to hold buyer interest better, which can improve resale prospects.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
