I looked at this model, this car in particular, and it had all my requirements and then some. I was very pleased with the car, but as always wishing it was cheaper for the miles it had, but has a plethora of wonderful features I wasnt expecting, so the value was spot on. This car was missing nothing! Im VERY pleased with this car!

How much does the 2018 Ford Edge cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $15,585 CAD |
| Year-Round Low | $15,585 CAD |
| Year-Round High | $19,410 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $19,410 CAD |
| Change vs. Last Year | −19.70% |
Prices have softened 19.70% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.
There are 364 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.
Is the 2018 Ford Edge a good car?
Yes — the 2018 Ford Edge earns a 4.58/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its comfort, spaciousness, smooth driving experience, all-wheel drive, and upscale feel for the price. The market also shows 24.5% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2018 Ford Edge reliable?
Owners rate it 4.58/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner feedback also points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable and easy to live with over time, especially when it comes to comfort and everyday usability. At the same time, some owners mention reliability concerns with the engine and air conditioning, so a careful pre-purchase inspection matters if you want to reduce long-term ownership risk.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Ford Edge?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to compare listings carefully before committing.
- Deal availability: 24.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 364 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 19.70% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $15,585 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2018 Ford Edge's resale value?
The current average of $15,585 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,410 CAD.
That price movement suggests the model has become more accessible for buyers, which can also mean future sellers may face more competition when it’s time to list. If you buy at today’s lower average, you may have less downside risk than someone who bought when prices were higher. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand, but resale value will still depend on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.58/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2018 Ford Edge or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2018 if:
- 24.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 19.70% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.58/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2019 if:
- At $17,875 CAD, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $15,585 CAD average.
- It adds an ST trim for a more performance-focused driving character.
The bottom line: Choose the 2018 if you want the lower entry price and a market with decent deal availability. If you’re willing to spend more for a broader performance-oriented appeal, the 2019 is the better secondary path.
