This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to compare listings carefully before committing.

What is the 2018 Ford Edge's resale value?

The current average of $15,585 CAD sits slightly below last year's $19,410 CAD.

That price movement suggests the model has become more accessible for buyers, which can also mean future sellers may face more competition when it’s time to list. If you buy at today’s lower average, you may have less downside risk than someone who bought when prices were higher. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand, but resale value will still depend on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.58/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Ford Edge or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 24.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.70% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.58/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $17,875 CAD, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $15,585 CAD average.
• It adds an ST trim for a more performance-focused driving character.

The bottom line: Choose the 2018 if you want the lower entry price and a market with decent deal availability. If you’re willing to spend more for a broader performance-oriented appeal, the 2019 is the better secondary path.
