Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Dodge Journey?

It looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still have room to negotiate.

• Deal availability: 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 172 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.22% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,356 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Dodge Journey's resale value?

The current average of $12,573 CAD sits slightly below last year's $14,830 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable point. If you plan to sell later, the softer current pricing may limit near-term upside, but it also means you may not be paying a peak-market premium today. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Dodge Journey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.22% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of value and buyer confidence, the 2018 is the better starting point because pricing has eased and owner feedback is solid. If you are especially price-sensitive, compare nearby years as well, but focus on the best-maintained example rather than the lowest sticker price alone.
