Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Dodge Journey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to compare listings and wait for the right price.

• Deal availability: 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 183 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.27% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,348 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Dodge Journey's resale value?

The current average of $12,632 CAD sits slightly below last year's $15,087 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests future sellers may face more competition if the market stays loose. If you buy at the right price now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. The Journey’s family-friendly appeal and comfort-focused reputation can help support demand, especially among shoppers looking for practical transportation.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Dodge Journey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 27.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.27% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used SUV with strong owner satisfaction, family-friendly space, and a market that has become more favourable for buyers, the 2018 is the primary year to focus on. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, you can also compare nearby years and use the softer pricing trend to negotiate more aggressively.
