Is the 2018 Dodge Challenger a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Dodge Challenger earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its performance, style, and comfort, and they also highlight the roomy interior as a major plus. In practical terms, that fits well if you want a five-passenger coupe with strong presence and everyday usability, especially given its user-friendly infotainment setup. With 25.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Dodge Challenger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many shoppers, especially those who value the car’s long-term appeal and strong emotional connection. The main cautions are more about running costs and practicality than outright durability, so a well-maintained example should be your focus. For used buyers, the biggest long-term ownership risk is ending up with a neglected car rather than a fundamentally flawed one.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Dodge Challenger?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to compare listings carefully before committing.

• Deal availability: 25.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 94 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.53% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $34,374 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Dodge Challenger's resale value?

The current average of $34,374 CAD sits slightly below last year's $40,695 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may temper what a future seller can expect. If you buy at the right price and keep the car in strong condition, you may be better positioned to limit depreciation pressure later. Demand should remain supported by the Challenger’s strong owner appeal and distinctive character.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Dodge Challenger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 25.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.53% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of value, owner satisfaction, and current market softness, the 2018 is a sensible primary target. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years for a lower entry point, but the 2018 remains a strong choice when you find a clean example at the right price.
