How much does the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 10.78% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 87 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of choice in the used market.

Is the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — the 4.7/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the spacious interior, comfort, and impressive cargo space, and many also like the smooth ride and useful features such as the rearview camera. For you, that makes the Traverse a sensible pick if you want a family-focused crossover with lots of room for people and gear. With 27.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some attractive shopping opportunity if you compare carefully.

Is the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable for everyday family use, especially when it comes to comfort and practicality. That said, the model year is also associated with engine and electrical concerns, so used buyers should pay close attention to service history and condition. For long-term ownership, your risk is lower if you choose a well-maintained example with clear maintenance records and no warning signs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient and compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 27.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 87 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.78% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $18,750 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $19,475 CAD sits slightly below last year's $21,827 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become more buyer-friendly, which can limit how much upside you should expect if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the right price, you may reduce the risk of taking a bigger depreciation hit later. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand, but the current trend still favours careful entry pricing for future sellers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 27.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.78% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 Traverse makes sense if you want the redesigned model-year package and you can find a clean example at a competitive price. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the best-maintained, best-priced listing rather than chasing a specific badge year.
