Is the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — the 4.7/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the spacious interior, comfort, and impressive cargo space, and many also like the smooth ride and useful family-friendly features. The Traverse fits especially well if you want a roomy three-row SUV with intuitive tech and everyday practicality. Is the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free experience for many shoppers, especially when it comes to day-to-day family use and comfort. The overall impression is that it can be a vehicle you count on, even if some owners note that lower trims feel basic and towing performance is not its strongest trait. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk looks manageable, but a careful inspection and service-history review still matter.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 98 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.18% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $18,740 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $19,489 CAD sits slightly below last year's $22,447 CAD.

That softer pricing can be a plus if you are buying now, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, the current trend suggests you should expect value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment. Well-kept examples should still appeal to family buyers because the Traverse’s space and practicality remain its biggest strengths.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.18% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of space, comfort, and current pricing, the 2018 is the primary path to consider. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth comparing, but the 2018 stands out as the more compelling choice when you want a roomy family SUV with strong owner approval.
