Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Chevrolet Traverse?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 94 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.56% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $18,761 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $20,867 CAD sits slightly below last year's $22,333 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the model has become a bit more accessible for used buyers, which can also mean future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. For you, that can be a benefit now if you're buying, but it also means resale gains are likely to depend more on condition, mileage, and maintenance than on market momentum alone. Well-kept examples should still hold appeal because the Traverse's family-friendly layout remains a major draw.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.73/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.56% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.73/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 Traverse makes the most sense if you want the redesigned body style, a spacious cabin, and a used price that has eased from last year. If your priority is getting the best value, this year is worth a close look; if you want to stretch your budget further, a nearby year may still be worth comparing, especially if you find a cleaner example with stronger equipment or a better service record.
