Is the 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 a good car?

Yes — the 4.75/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. What is the 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500's resale value?

The current average of $25,352 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,292 CAD.

That softer pricing can help you buy more truck for the money today, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays under pressure. For a seller, the current trend suggests you may need to price competitively to stand out. Strong owner satisfaction can still help support demand when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 26.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.39% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 Silverado 1500 makes sense if you want a used full-size pickup with broad capability, a comfortable ride, and strong owner approval, especially now that prices have eased. If you are more price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby model years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than the newest badge alone.
