Should I buy a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 28.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.13% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should focus on the 2018 if you want a used Silverado 1500 with strong owner approval, a softer price than last year, and enough inventory to compare options. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still be worth considering, but the 2018 is the better starting point when you want a balance of value and buyer confidence.
