Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Cadillac XT5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

What is the 2018 Cadillac XT5's resale value?

The current average of $20,161 CAD sits slightly below last year's $23,127 CAD.

That price movement suggests the XT5 has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can be helpful if you are buying now but less favourable if you plan to sell soon. If prices stay near current levels, future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Cadillac XT5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2018 XT5 makes the most sense if you want a well-liked used luxury SUV with a softer price trend and a decent pool of listings to compare. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to keep an eye on nearby model years as well, but the 2018 is the stronger starting point when you want a balance of value and owner approval.
