Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Buick Encore?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 180 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.84% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $13,837 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Buick Encore's resale value?

The current average of $13,837 CAD sits slightly below last year's $16,248 CAD.

That softer pricing can be helpful if you’re buying now, but it also means a future seller may have less room to recover today’s purchase price if the market stays similar. On the other hand, a lower entry price can make the vehicle easier to move later if demand remains steady. Strong owner satisfaction can help support that demand over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Buick Encore or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.84% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest balance of price and buyer confidence, the 2018 is the better starting point. If you’re especially price-sensitive, keep an eye on nearby model years as well, but the 2018 stands out when you want a used Encore with solid market support and a meaningful discount from last year’s pricing.
