What Buick Encore do most buyers choose?
The Buick Encore years with the most listings are 2018, 2019, and 2017.
| Model Year | Total Listings | Good + Great Deals % |
|---|---|---|
| 2018 | 172 | 22.7% |
| 2019 | 158 | 22.2% |
| 2017 | 126 | 24.6% |
| 2020 | 108 | 21.3% |
| 2016 | 84 | 21.4% |
| 2015 | 60 | 21.7% |
These higher-volume years tend to attract more shoppers because they offer a wider selection of trims, prices, and mileage levels. That usually makes it easier to compare options and find a version that fits your budget and feature priorities.
What is the Buick Encore's resale value?
| Model Year | Current Avg. Price | Year-Over-Year Change |
|---|---|---|
| 2017 | $11,675 CAD | −23.87% |
| 2020 | $17,132 CAD | −19.57% |
| 2021 | $18,681 CAD | −17.6% |
| 2018 | $13,913 CAD | −16.52% |
| 2019 | $15,226 CAD | −14.97% |
| 2022 | $21,347 CAD | −14.12% |
| 2014 | $9,651 CAD | −11.42% |
| 2015 | $10,553 CAD | −7.77% |
| 2016 | $12,286 CAD | −6.45% |
The table shows broad downward movement across the model range, which can work in your favour if you're shopping used. Several years have seen double-digit price drops, while the older models have changed by smaller amounts. That creates a mix of stronger value opportunities and more stable pricing depending on the year you choose.
The 2016, 2015, and 2014 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

The car was in good shape from looks and seemed to run okay, but has the check engine light on. The sales rep would not hook it up to the code reader unless I confirmed I wanted to buy it. I would not buy a car for my 16 year old with a check engine light on without knowing what or how much would need to be spent to fix it. It could have been something simple, but could have been something expensive too.

I like the car and all it offers. The car value is good. The only thing that is missing is a sunroof I like sunroof cars.

I was completely shocked by how roomy the driver seat was. Im 65 300# and have more than enough leg room, the driver seat is very comfortable. I love the android auto/ Bluetooth to play music from my phone., plus I can do everything hands free by saying Hey Google. Surprisingly great gas mileage for an AWD.
