How much does the 2018 Acura MDX cost?

Prices have softened 18.52% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 121 listings available, which suggests a reasonable amount of inventory for you to compare.

Is the 2018 Acura MDX a good car?

Yes — the 2018 Acura MDX earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its comfort, features, smooth driving experience, and spacious interior, and many also see good value for the money. In practical terms, that lines up well if you want a three-row luxury SUV that can carry at least six passengers without stepping up to a larger, pricier class. With 24.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

Is the 2018 Acura MDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a vehicle that feels dependable, with repeated praise for its comfort, smoothness, and overall quality. That kind of response matters for used buyers because it suggests the MDX has earned trust over time rather than just making a strong first impression.

For long-term ownership, the main risk is less about the overall reputation and more about finding one that has been maintained properly and still feels tight and well cared for.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Acura MDX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find value if you compare listings closely.

• Deal availability: 24.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 121 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.52% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $21,458 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Acura MDX's resale value?

The current average of $21,458 CAD sits slightly below last year's $26,335 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer now but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at a strong price, you reduce the risk of taking a bigger hit later. If you pay closer to the top of the range, your future resale position is less favourable because the market has shown it is willing to value this model year lower than it did a year ago.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 24.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.52% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should focus on the 2018 if you want a well-liked, three-row luxury SUV with strong owner approval and a market that currently gives you some negotiating room. If you are especially price-sensitive, nearby model years may also be worth comparing, but the 2018 stands out as a sensible choice when you want a balance of value, comfort, and buyer confidence.
