Is the 2017 Toyota Sienna a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Toyota Sienna earns a 4.9/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. You’ll see recurring praise for its spacious interior, comfort, and reliability, along with the versatility of its seating and the convenience of its features. That lines up well with its role as a practical family minivan built for everyday use, especially if you want three rows and flexible cargo space. With 34.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Toyota Sienna reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The feedback you see most often centres on reliability, dependability, and the sense that it is a trouble-free family vehicle you can count on. That reputation fits the Sienna’s long-term ownership appeal, especially for buyers who want a minivan that can handle daily family duties with minimal drama. For used buyers, the main risk is that age and mileage can expose wear items, so a careful inspection matters even on a well-regarded model.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Toyota Sienna?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 91 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.45% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $23,119 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Toyota Sienna's resale value?

The current average of $23,121 CAD sits slightly below last year's $28,706 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may temper what a future seller can expect. If you buy near the current average, your resale position will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. Because the model still has strong owner satisfaction, demand should remain reasonably steady for clean examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 34.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.45% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a strong choice if you want the updated powertrain, broad family usefulness, and a market that has become more favourable on price. If you’re especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2017 stands out as a balanced pick when you want a well-liked minivan with solid owner approval.
