Is the 2016 Toyota Sienna a good car?

Yes — the 2016 Toyota Sienna earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. You get a family-focused minivan with generous passenger space, a versatile interior, and the kind of cargo flexibility that makes daily life easier. Drivers also consistently highlight comfort, spaciousness, and the value of the available features, especially in higher-end trims. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a used minivan that is safe, comfortable, and easy to live with. With 34.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is also a healthy amount of market value to consider.

Is the 2016 Toyota Sienna reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2016 model year is described as one of the stronger choices in this generation, and the buying guide specifically points to the 2015 and 2016 V6 front-wheel-drive versions as the most reliable. That lines up with owner feedback that emphasises dependable everyday use and a trouble-free ownership experience. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure any example you consider has been maintained properly, especially given the potential cost of age-related repairs on a large family vehicle.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Toyota Sienna?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on a strong listing.

• Deal availability: 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 83 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.07% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $20,487 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Toyota Sienna's resale value?

The current average of $21,053 CAD sits slightly below last year's $25,085 CAD.

That price trend suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable point in the cycle. If you plan to sell later, the softer current pricing means your future resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. Because the Sienna is a practical family vehicle with broad appeal, well-kept examples should still attract steady interest. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.07% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a smart choice if you want a proven, family-friendly Sienna with strong owner satisfaction and a softer used-market price than it had a year ago. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years to see whether a lower-priced example offers similar space and practicality for less money.
