My favorite small car, and one of my favorite cars to drive in general. Very maneuverable, smooth riding for its size, and a joy to drive overall with creature comforts normally found in larger cars at upper trim levels (the SR has keyless entry and push-button start). Wish Nissan still made it. The electric version was a best-seller in Japan!

How much does the 2017 Nissan Versa Note cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $10,636 CAD |
| Year-Round Low | $9,464 CAD |
| Year-Round High | $11,010 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $11,013 CAD |
| Change vs. Last Year | −3.43% |
Prices have softened 3.43% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.
There are 68 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.
Is the 2017 Nissan Versa Note a good car?
Yes — it earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction for this model year. With 29.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful share of the market to target if you want better value.
Is the 2017 Nissan Versa Note reliable?
Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
For used buyers, that kind of owner feedback can reduce the risk of unpleasant surprises, especially if you verify maintenance history and overall condition before you buy.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Nissan Versa Note?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.
- Deal availability: 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 68 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 3.43% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $9,464 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2017 Nissan Versa Note's resale value?
The current average of $10,636 CAD sits slightly below last year's $11,013 CAD.
That suggests the market has eased a bit, which can make the car more attractive to buyers today but may temper short-term upside for a future seller. If you buy at the lower end of the current range, you may have a better chance of preserving value later. A stable ownership reputation can help support demand when you eventually resell.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2017 Nissan Versa Note or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2017 if:
- 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 3.43% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price and available inventory, the 2017 is the stronger starting point. If you are especially price-sensitive, keep an eye on listings near the low end of the range and compare them carefully against nearby model years before you decide.
