Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you’re comparing condition, mileage, and service history.

• Deal availability: 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 136 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.75% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $26,964 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $28,159 CAD sits slightly below last year's $29,877 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more favourable for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to be realistic about expectations. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned to limit depreciation pressure later. The model’s premium positioning and broad appeal should help support demand, but resale will still depend heavily on maintenance history and overall condition.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.91/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.75% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.91/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a strong choice if you want a well-equipped luxury SUV with broad appeal and you can find one with a solid service record. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2017 stands out as a sensible pick when you want a balance of value, comfort, and owner satisfaction.
