How much does the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE cost?

Is the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE earns a 4.91/5 user rating, which points to very strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxury feel, comfort, and sporty performance, and many also value its safety features and confident driving experience in challenging weather. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a premium SUV that feels quiet, spacious, and family-focused while still offering a broad range of powertrains and body styles. With 28.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

Owners rate it 4.91/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many people find dependable and trouble-free enough to live with over time, especially when you value comfort and all-weather confidence. The strongest reliability signal here is that owners continue to speak positively about the GLE’s long-term ownership experience, even while noting some of the usual luxury-SUV trade-offs. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that maintenance and repair costs can rise quickly if you end up with a poorly maintained example.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 28.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 137 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.14% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $26,938 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $27,469 CAD sits slightly below last year's $30,231 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has softened, which can make the GLE more attractive to you as a buyer today but may also limit upside for a future seller. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned to protect value later. The model’s premium image and broad appeal help, but resale will still depend heavily on maintenance history and overall condition.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.91/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 28.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.14% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.91/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a used luxury SUV with strong owner approval, a comfortable cabin, and a market that has eased from last year, the 2017 is a sensible place to focus your search. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby model years to see whether a slightly newer or older GLE gives you a better mix of condition, equipment, and asking price.
