Used 2017 Mazda CX-5 for Sale near Niagara Falls, ON

How much does the 2017 Mazda CX-5 cost?

Prices have softened 3.98% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.

There are 325 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of choice while you compare prices and trims.

Is the 2017 Mazda CX-5 a good car?

Yes — the 4.7/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its stylish design, smooth ride, and excellent reliability, and many also like the comfortable handling and fuel economy on longer trips. The CX-5’s compact-SUV practicality and more premium-feeling interior make it a strong fit if you want something that feels polished without giving up everyday usability. With 30.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive example.

Is the 2017 Mazda CX-5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback highlights excellent reliability, and it also describes the CX-5 as dependable and trouble-free for many drivers. That said, some owners have noted engine, windshield, brake, and infotainment issues in this generation, so condition and maintenance history still matter.

For used buyers, the long-term ownership risk looks manageable if you choose carefully and verify service records.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Mazda CX-5?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory to compare options and enough deal activity to reward patience.

• Deal availability: 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 325 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.98% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $17,510 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Mazda CX-5's resale value?

The current average of $17,974 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,719 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more buyer-friendly, which can make it harder for a future seller to command a premium unless the vehicle is especially well kept. If you buy at the right price now, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. Strong condition, clean history, and desirable trim equipment should help your CX-5 stand out when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Mazda CX-5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.98% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the newer-generation CX-5 with a more premium feel, strong owner approval, and a market that still offers some deal opportunities, the 2017 is the one to target. If your priority is simply the lowest purchase price, a nearby older year may be worth a look, but you give up some of the polish and appeal that make this model year stand out.
