How much does the 2017 MINI Cooper cost?

There are 98 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of choice in the used market.

Is the 2017 MINI Cooper a good car?

Yes — the 2017 MINI Cooper earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its fun driving experience, sporty handling, and fuel efficiency, and many also like its quick responsiveness and unique styling. That lines up well if you want a small, stylish car that feels genuinely entertaining rather than purely practical. With 31.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 MINI Cooper reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a car that many owners find dependable in day-to-day use, with praise centred on its fun driving experience, fuel efficiency, and quick responsiveness. That said, the broader model-year context suggests you should pay close attention to maintenance history and cosmetic condition when shopping used. For long-term ownership, the main risk is buying a neglected example rather than the model itself.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 MINI Cooper?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you focus on well-priced examples.

• Deal availability: 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 98 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.76% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $14,146 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 MINI Cooper's resale value?

The current average of $14,146 CAD sits slightly below last year's $15,504 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a little more buyer-friendly, which can make resale planning more important if you expect to sell in a few years. If prices stay near this level, future sellers may need to be realistic about asking prices, especially for higher-mileage or less well-kept examples. On the other hand, a lower entry price today can help cushion some of the depreciation you absorb after purchase.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 MINI Cooper or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 31.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.76% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a smart choice if you want the MINI Cooper’s signature style and fun-to-drive character while taking advantage of a softer used-car market. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year with a lower average price may be worth a look, but the 2017 remains the better all-around pick if you want a balance of appeal, owner satisfaction, and market value.
