The current average of $12,510 CAD sits slightly below last year's $15,010 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Sportage has become more accessible for used buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price competitively to stand out. If you buy at the current average or below, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation pressure later. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Kia Sportage or consider a different year?
