Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Nissan Rogue?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you’re patient.

• Deal availability: 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 467 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.91% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $13,074 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Nissan Rogue's resale value?

The current average of $13,074 CAD sits slightly below last year's $15,012 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Rogue has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means future sellers may face a softer resale environment than they would have a year ago. If you buy now, you may benefit from the lower entry price, but you should not expect rapid appreciation. The good news is that steady shopper interest can help support demand when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.2/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Nissan Rogue or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 28.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.91% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.2/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $14,784 CAD, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $13,074 CAD average.
• It adds automated driver assists for a more advanced feel.

The bottom line:
Choose the 2017 if you want the lower purchase price and a broad pool of listings to compare. If you’re willing to spend more for newer technology, the 2018 is the better secondary path, especially for buyers who value added driver-assist features.
