So if you go with the forte and it says Apple car play or Android auto. Bring a cable and actually make sure! Ours said it and it didnt have it. We couldnt do a map upgrade and get it, cause our 2017 does not have navigation. If it did, the update wouldve worked.

How much does the 2017 Kia Forte cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $10,868 CAD |
| Year-Round Low | $10,265 CAD |
| Year-Round High | $11,862 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $11,486 CAD |
| Change vs. Last Year | −5.38% |
Prices have softened 5.38% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.
There are 153 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.
Is the 2017 Kia Forte a good car?
With a user rating of 3.25/5, the 2017 Kia Forte looks like a mixed but workable choice if you want a used compact car and are willing to shop carefully. The market also shows 27.5% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests you can still find value if you compare prices closely.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Kia Forte?
This looks like a moderate buyer's market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.
- Deal availability: 27.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 153 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.38% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $10,265 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2017 Kia Forte's resale value?
The current average of $10,868 CAD sits slightly below last year's $11,486 CAD.
That kind of movement suggests the market has eased, which can work against you if you're planning to sell soon. If you own one, pricing it competitively will matter more than waiting for a rebound. For a future seller, the current trend points to a value that is still stable enough to attract shoppers, but not so strong that you can stretch your asking price.
Should I buy a 2017 Kia Forte or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2017 if:
- 27.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 5.38% compared with last year.
The bottom line: The 2017 Kia Forte makes sense if you want a used compact car with some room to negotiate and a decent pool of listings to compare. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of asking price and deal availability.
