Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Hyundai Elantra GT?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be patient and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 97 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.79% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,313 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Hyundai Elantra GT's resale value?

The current average of $12,408 CAD sits slightly below last year's $13,755 CAD.

That suggests the market has moved in buyers’ favour, which can make your purchase easier to justify today but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you buy at the lower end of the range, you may have a better chance of protecting value later. Strong pricing discipline matters here because the model has already seen a noticeable year-over-year decline.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Hyundai Elantra GT or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.79% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current pricing pressure and owner approval, the 2017 is the primary year to focus on. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby year with a lower asking price may be worth comparing, but the 2017 stands out as the better all-around starting point for most shoppers.
