It was what we were looking for but the lumber support was in the wrong place for my husband. I think we would have purchased it except for that.

Due to financial issues, I went 8 years without a car. I was nervous about driving after not being behind the wheel for so long (Im 65). My Honda Fit is perfect for me. Small in size, small in price. Easy to drive and park. Great on gas! Nice little car!

How much does the 2017 Honda Fit cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $15,779 CAD |
| Year-Round Low | $15,072 CAD |
| Year-Round High | $18,044 CAD |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $18,044 CAD |
| Change vs. Last Year | −12.55% |
Prices have softened 12.55% compared to this time last year, making it a favourable time to shop this model year.
There are 59 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers to compare.
Is the 2017 Honda Fit a good car?
Generally — the 4.33/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for this model year. That kind of feedback suggests you can shop with reasonable confidence if the Fit’s size and price fit your needs. 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to find a competitive offer.
Is the 2017 Honda Fit reliable?
Owners rate it 4.33/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.
For used buyers, that kind of owner feedback can reduce the risk of unpleasant surprises, though you should still focus on maintenance history and overall condition before you commit.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Honda Fit?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be patient and still have a reasonable chance of finding value.
- Deal availability: 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 59 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 12.55% compared with last year.
If you find a listing below $15,072 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2017 Honda Fit's resale value?
The current average of $15,779 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,044 CAD.
That softer pricing can be a mixed signal for future resale: it may help you buy at a more attractive entry point now, but it also means you should be realistic about how quickly value may recover. If market conditions stay steady, a lower purchase price can help cushion depreciation over your ownership period.
Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.33/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2017 Honda Fit or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2017 if:
- 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 12.55% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.33/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: The 2017 is a sensible choice if you want a used Fit with decent market support and a softer price than a year ago. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of listing price and condition.
