This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 159 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.57% compared with last year.

What is the 2017 Honda Accord's resale value?

The current average of $16,520 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,474 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable point in the cycle. For a future seller, it also means there may be less room for appreciation unless demand strengthens. Even so, the Accord’s broad appeal and practical reputation should help it remain easy to market when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.57% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $15,259 CAD, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $16,520 CAD average.
• It adds useful updates while staying a sensible, well-rounded sedan.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $18,778 CAD, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $16,520 CAD average.
• It feels fresher and more polished with a more engaging driving character.

The bottom line: The 2017 is the best all-around choice if you want a balanced mix of price, satisfaction, and availability. If your priority is saving money, the 2016 is the smarter value play; if you want a newer-feeling Accord and can stretch your budget, the 2018 is the upgrade path to consider.
