Should I buy a 2017 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 23.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.52/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $15,706 CAD, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $17,553 CAD average.
• It offers a sensible, comfort-focused choice with strong fuel economy.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $19,282 CAD, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $17,553 CAD average.
• It adds a more engaging driving character while keeping everyday practicality.

The bottom line: The 2017 is the best all-around pick if you want a balanced mix of value, satisfaction, and everyday usability. If your priority is spending less, the 2016 is the better budget path; if you want a newer-feeling driving experience and can stretch your budget, the 2018 is worth a look.
