Should I buy a 2017 Honda Accord or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 26.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.24% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.52/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $15,068 CAD, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $17,558 CAD average.
• It offers a sensible, lower-risk ownership proposition.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $18,991 CAD, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $17,558 CAD average.
• It brings a more engaging driving character and a more polished overall experience.

The bottom line: The 2017 is the best all-around pick if you want a well-liked, well-priced Accord with strong owner satisfaction and decent deal availability. If your priority is saving money, the 2016 is the better value play; if you want a newer-feeling Accord and can stretch your budget, the 2018 is worth a look.
