Is the 2017 Ford Fusion a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Ford Fusion earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers commonly praise its smooth ride, comfort, and solid performance, and many also like the variety of features it offers at a good price. In practical terms, that makes it a strong fit if you want a midsize sedan with sharp styling, a roomy cabin, and enough everyday versatility to stay useful without moving into crossover territory. With 23.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Ford Fusion reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers, especially those who value the car’s smooth ride and comfort over the long term. That said, used buyers should still focus on maintenance history and overall condition, since long-term ownership risk is always tied to how well a specific example has been cared for.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Ford Fusion?

This is a moderate market for buyers, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 23.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 113 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 21.78% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $11,526 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Ford Fusion's resale value?

The current average of $11,526 CAD sits slightly below last year's $14,735 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the model has become more accessible for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price carefully to stay competitive. If you buy well now, you may have less downside risk than someone who paid closer to last year's average. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Ford Fusion or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 23.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 21.78% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 Ford Fusion is the right pick if you want the updated feel of this generation, strong owner satisfaction, and a market that has become more buyer-friendly. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, a nearby older year may be worth a look, but the 2017 is the better all-around choice if you want the more modern feature set and a well-balanced ownership experience.
