Drivers commonly praise its smooth ride, comfort, and solid performance, and many also like the variety of features it offers at a good price. Is the 2017 Ford Fusion reliable?

The owner feedback also points to a dependable-feeling car that many drivers are happy to live with over time, especially when it comes to comfort and everyday usability. Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Ford Fusion?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 25.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 116 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.69% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $11,826 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Ford Fusion's resale value?

The current average of $11,826 CAD sits slightly below last year's $14,724 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favourable point in the cycle. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment rather than on broad market momentum alone. A well-kept example may still stand out, but the softer pricing trend means you should be realistic about how quickly value may continue to move.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Ford Fusion or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 25.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 Ford Fusion is the better choice if you want the year with strong owner approval, softer pricing, and enough inventory to compare options. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth a look, but the 2017 stands out as the more balanced buy when you want value, comfort, and a solid ownership reputation.
