The current average of $13,991 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,118 CAD.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the Edge more attractive to buyers today but may limit upside for a future seller. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Ford Edge or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 26.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.27% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a sensible choice if you want a well-liked Edge with a softer used-market price and enough inventory to compare options. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to look at nearby years to see whether a lower asking price better fits your budget.
