Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Ford Edge?

This is a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you have room to compare listings and wait for the right one.

• Deal availability: 21.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 274 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.41% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $13,982 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Ford Edge's resale value?

The current average of $14,161 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,357 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Edge has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help limit further value loss if you buy at the right price. For a future seller, that means your resale outcome will depend heavily on how well you buy in today’s market and how carefully the vehicle is maintained. Strong condition, complete service history, and desirable equipment should help support demand when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.43/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Ford Edge or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 21.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 18.41% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.43/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 Ford Edge makes sense if you want a well-liked used SUV with a softer price than a year ago and enough listings to shop selectively. If your priority is stretching your budget, the 2017 is the better path when you can find one near the lower end of the current range; if you want to compare value across nearby years, keep an eye on condition and asking price first, since those will matter more than the model-year difference alone.
