Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Dodge Challenger?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 26.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 91 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.87% compared with last year.

What is the 2017 Dodge Challenger's resale value?

The current average of $32,950 CAD sits slightly below last year's $42,718 CAD.

That drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that pricing discipline matters: a clean, well-kept example should still attract interest, but overpricing could leave you sitting longer than expected. The model’s strong owner satisfaction helps support demand, especially among shoppers who value its style and everyday usability.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Dodge Challenger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 26.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 22.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a strong choice if you want the Challenger’s mix of style, comfort, and everyday usability, especially now that prices have eased. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby year may give you a lower entry point, but the 2017 remains the better all-around pick when you want a well-liked, characterful coupe with a broad used-market presence.
