User feedback highlights the car as dependable in the ways that matter to many shoppers, especially for its stable road manners, comfort, and the confidence it inspires in daily use. Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Dodge Challenger?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to compare listings and wait for the right example.

• Deal availability: 24.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 95 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.72% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $32,526 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Dodge Challenger's resale value?

The current average of $32,526 CAD sits slightly below last year's $40,517 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the car more approachable for you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it means resale value may be more sensitive to condition, mileage, and trim choice than it would be for a more in-demand mainstream model. Well-kept examples should still hold interest because the Challenger has a strong enthusiast following and broad appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Dodge Challenger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 24.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 19.72% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest balance of price, owner satisfaction, and current inventory, the 2017 is a sensible place to focus your search. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and prioritise the cleanest, best-maintained example rather than chasing the lowest sticker price alone.
