Is the 2017 Chevrolet Cruze a good car?

Generally — the 4.35/5 user rating points to a well-liked compact car. That lines up well with the Cruze’s everyday-practical brief, especially if you want a compact car that feels polished, efficient, and easy to live with. Owners rate it 4.35/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a car that feels dependable in daily use, with owners highlighting its comfort and fuel economy alongside the overall positive ownership experience. That kind of feedback suggests the Cruze can be a sensible used-car pick if you want something you can count on for routine commuting and longer-term ownership.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Chevrolet Cruze?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can afford to compare a few listings before committing.

• Deal availability: 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 284 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.37% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $10,894 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Chevrolet Cruze's resale value?

The current average of $10,951 CAD sits slightly below last year's $12,356 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Cruze has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can be helpful if you buy now and plan to sell later. If market pricing stays steady, a lower entry price today can reduce the amount of value you stand to lose over your ownership period.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.35/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Chevrolet Cruze or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.37% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.35/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 Cruze is the better fit if you want a well-liked, efficient compact car and you can take advantage of the softer pricing in today’s market. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than chasing the newest badge alone.
