How much does the 2017 BMW X3 cost?

Is the 2017 BMW X3 a good car?

Yes — the 4.7/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the luxurious interior, smooth ride, and sporty performance, and many also like the cabin comfort, powerful engine, and practical features. For you, that makes sense if you want a compact luxury SUV that balances an elevated driving position with engaging road manners and everyday usability. With 36.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still a meaningful share of attractive inventory to compare.

Is the 2017 BMW X3 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a vehicle that feels dependable in daily use, with praise for its smooth ride and practical features supporting that impression. At the same time, some shoppers expected more standard equipment, so it is worth checking the exact specification of any used example you consider. For long-term ownership, your main risk is less about outright satisfaction and more about making sure the vehicle has been maintained properly, since premium SUVs can become costly if deferred upkeep has been ignored.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 BMW X3?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 152 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.89% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $16,144 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 BMW X3's resale value?

The current average of $16,284 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,304 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can make the X3 more appealing to you as a buyer today. For a future seller, it also means resale expectations should stay realistic unless the vehicle is especially well kept and well equipped. Strong condition, complete maintenance records, and desirable features will matter more when you go to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 BMW X3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.89% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 BMW X3 makes the most sense if you want a compact luxury SUV with strong owner approval, a softer price than last year, and enough inventory to compare options. If you are more price-sensitive, you may want to keep an eye on nearby model years and focus on the best-maintained example rather than the newest one you can afford.
