How much does the 2017 BMW X3 cost?

There are 146 listings available, which suggests you have a reasonable amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2017 BMW X3 a good car?

Yes — the 2017 BMW X3 earns a 4.69/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the luxurious interior, smooth ride, sporty performance, and practical features. That lines up well with its role as a compact luxury SUV that gives you a high seating position, easy access, and a more car-like driving feel than many rivals. With 30.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2017 BMW X3 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.69/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with praise for the cabin comfort, powerful engine, and practical features. That said, some buyers noted missing heated seats in certain models and the absence of advanced safety technology they expected in a premium vehicle. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright satisfaction and more about making sure the specific vehicle you choose has been maintained properly.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 BMW X3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 146 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.98% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $16,496 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 BMW X3's resale value?

The current average of $16,704 CAD sits slightly below last year's $18,152 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the vehicle more attractive to buyers today but may limit upside for a future seller. If you buy near the current average, you may need to be realistic about depreciation if the market stays soft. On the other hand, the lower entry price can help you preserve more value relative to what you pay now. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.69/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 BMW X3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 30.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.98% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.69/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a compact luxury SUV with a premium cabin, practical space, and a sporty driving character, the 2017 BMW X3 is the year to focus on. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, you may want to compare nearby years and shop for the best-priced example rather than locking onto this one year alone.
