Is the 2017 Audi Q7 a good car?

Yes — 4.8/5 is a strong user rating for this model year, and owners consistently praise its luxurious interior, performance, and advanced technology. The Q7 also fits well if you want a refined family SUV with three-row practicality, a smooth ride, and useful everyday versatility. Its combination of comfort, utility, and advanced features makes it appealing if you want a premium SUV that can handle family duty without feeling plain. Is the 2017 Audi Q7 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable and trouble-free in day-to-day use, especially when it comes to comfort, performance, and the overall ownership experience. The strongest long-term confidence comes from the fact that owners continue to speak positively about the Q7’s premium feel and capability over time. For used buyers, the main ownership risk is less about broad reliability and more about making sure the specific example you choose has been maintained well and does not have unresolved feature or fuel-consumption concerns.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Audi Q7?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 138 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.65% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $19,095 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Audi Q7's resale value?

The current average of $19,095 CAD sits slightly below last year's $22,909 CAD.

That price movement suggests the Q7 has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can be helpful if you are buying now but less ideal if you plan to sell soon. If the market stays soft, future resale gains may be limited unless your vehicle is especially well kept and attractively equipped. Even so, a premium SUV with broad appeal and strong owner satisfaction can still hold buyer interest better than a less desirable alternative.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Audi Q7 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 16.65% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 Q7 is a strong choice if you want a well-regarded luxury SUV with a softer used price and solid owner approval. If your priority is value, this year looks especially appealing because pricing has eased and there is still decent deal availability. If you are shopping on a tighter budget, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a slightly newer or slightly older Q7 offers a better mix of price and equipment.
