Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Audi Q5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 28.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 316 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.06% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $14,675 CAD, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Audi Q5's resale value?

The current average of $14,675 CAD sits slightly below last year's $17,277 CAD.

That price movement suggests the market has become more buyer-friendly, which can put some pressure on future resale expectations if you sell soon. If you buy at today’s average, you may have less room for appreciation than in a stronger pricing environment. On the other hand, a lower entry price can help you absorb depreciation more comfortably over your ownership period.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.6/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Audi Q5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 28.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.06% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $19,464 CAD, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $14,675 CAD average.
• It brings a full redesign with more room, newer technology, and improved refinement.

The bottom line: Choose the 2017 if you want the lower-priced route into a well-liked luxury SUV with strong owner approval and decent deal availability. Consider the 2018 if you’re willing to pay more for the redesigned model’s broader upgrades and more modern feel.
